The stillness that energizes
At Yasuragi, inner peace and harmony are always at the center. When we have the opportunity to find peace, we discover new energy and perhaps a bit more of ourselves. In the Japanese garden at Yasuragi, they have managed to create a Japanese atmosphere in the spirit of stillness with the means of the Swedish nature and the plants that inhabit it.
The roundel is a place where sky and earth meet. It is created in a way that directs concentration inward and vertically: towards the sky and towards the earth. In the garden of movement and stillness, movement and stillness come together. There is a respect for what is visible, but also for the space between things. As we walk and explore the different parts of the garden, it feels as if everything has always been there. Every blade of grass and stone, every bush and tree belongs where it is. It is important to give ourselves time to slowly discover the path we walk, both the outer and the inner.
The moon gate symbolizes that every moment is a new gate. Since many of us are stuck in old mistakes and regret what they have done instead of seizing the present, we can pause for a quiet moment at the moon gate, open our senses, and step into our lives.
