Sustainable Products

IN THE JAPANESE BATH

OUR OWN SWAN-LABELLED SKINCARE SERIES

We have our own body care series with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The series has a unique scent that many associate with their visit to Yasuragi. The products are Swan-labelled and available to all who visit the Japanese bath or stay at the hotel. They are also available for purchase at our yasuragishop.se

Swan labelling means that the product's raw materials are assessed in relation to the environment by an independent body. The new body care products at Yasuragi have been assessed based on content, scent, packaging, pump, transport packaging, and label, i.e. everything related to the product.

The Swan experts carefully examine how the ingredients affect the environment. They also assess biodegradability and the potential impact of the products on marine and local environments. In addition, they do not accept content, components, or substances suspected or known to be endocrine disruptors.

SWEDISH-MADE SKINCARE WITH A JAPANESE TOUCH

Values like sustainability, the environment, and ethics were the foundation when Yasuragi helped create the skincare brand Hada. The result is modern high-quality everyday luxury, a skincare series for both individuals and professional skin therapists. The series' Japanese name, Hada, means skin in Japanese. The packaging is airless to minimize preservatives as much as possible, and some are also eco-certified. The cartons are made from recycled paper. Functionality, sustainability, and quality go hand in hand.

In our hotel rooms

GOTS-certified textiles

All our towels in the rooms and all bed linen are GOTS-certified;Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an international environmental label for natural fibers. It regulates the limitation of harmful substances and emissions throughout the production chain. Our laundry service CWS is certified by Svanen. Old and worn textiles at CWS are sold to reusedremade.com

Energy-saving lighting

The lighting in all our hotel rooms consists of LED bulbs which consume 80-90% less energy than incandescent bulbs and halogen bulbs. LED bulbs also do not contain toxic mercury, which is found in other types of bulbs.

Silent Areas
Welcome to enjoy a little extra of the silent zones in the Japanese bath. Here is a time to breathe deeply and just be with yourself for a moment.

  1. The Cave Bath
  2. Sleeping Sauna
  3. Carbonated Bath
  4. Silent Lounge with rocking chairs - a room furnished with sound-insulating materials to truly create a quiet environment.

The outdoor hot springs have silent half-hour periods where all you hear is the water, the sounds of nature, and your breath.
