Yasuragi Explores: LEADERSHIP
Best in the world – or best for the world?
Please note this lecture is held in Swedish.
On September 29, we mark the launch of Yasuragi Explores. As part of Stockholm Impact Days, together with serial entrepreneur and impact investor Stefan Krook and keynote speaker and change leader Erik Fernholm, we invite leaders and decision-makers who want to understand more, think bigger, and explore new paths forward.
This is an afternoon for anyone looking to understand the patterns shaping our present—and your own ability to influence them. We navigate the intersection between the individual, the organization, and the broader economic and societal systems we shape together.
There has never been a more decisive time to be a leader
Your leadership is reflected in the decisions you make, the goals you set, and the direction you choose. As technology, business models, and society undergo profound shifts, simply managing what has worked in the past is no longer enough.
Leadership today is about actively taking part in shaping the future we want to see.
- What changes are truly needed?
- What kind of companies do we want to build?
- What behaviors and values do we want to reward?
- How do we continue to foster innovation, development, and prosperity within the boundaries that secure conditions for future generations?
Many of the greatest challenges of our time are fundamentally human. They are shaped by our choices, our actions, and the rules of the game we agree to follow. But what we as humans have built, we also have the power to transform.
A new direction for economy, leadership, and society
Stefan Krook: The Systems and New Rules of the Game
Drawing from his book The Laghum Economy, Stefan Krook presents a concrete and hopeful vision for how the innovative power of the market can become a stronger force for the future. What happens if we adjust the rules so that it becomes more profitable to build what we need more of, and costly to consume what we need less of? By shifting taxation toward resource burden rather than labor and value creation, new opportunities emerge for businesses to grow and thrive within planetary boundaries.
Erik Fernholm: The Individual and the Inner Compass
Erik Fernholm shifts our focus from system dynamics to human behavior. New framework rules are not enough if we continue to think and act as we always have. What truly drives our decisions? What enables people to feel purpose, take ownership, and translate insight into action? And how do we build organizations that are high-performing, deeply human, and resilient over time?
Focus Areas of the Afternoon
- From Insight to Action: Moving from good intentions to decisions that meaningfully shift direction.
- Laghum in Practice: How smarter frameworks and incentives can align innovation, value creation, and a thriving planet.
- Agency and Inner Development: How our mindsets and decision-making shape the systems around us—and what you can begin influencing from your role today.
- Redefining Success: How economic value creation, human potential, and long-term care can reinforce one another.
- Shaping What Comes Next: The capabilities, cultures, and leadership choices required to build a more human and sustainable working life.
You will leave Yasuragi with a deeper understanding of how the individual, the organization, and society interconnect—along with fresh perspectives and practical pathways for your own leadership.
Hope is not passively waiting for things to resolve. Hope is recognizing what is possible, understanding your own agency, and taking action.
