KYOTO HAPPENING
Kyoto Happening – A journey through time and space
A day filled with focus and ritual presence The day begins in our harmonious conference rooms, designed to promote deep thinking and creative stillness. To create mental clarity, we break for Zazen – Japanese seated meditation where you choose the length. As a complement, this can be combined with Kinhin, a walking meditation that unites movement with total presence. Throughout the day, a carefully prepared lunch and energizing fika will be served where you experience the ritual of preparing your own Matcha – a moment of concentration that fuels thought.
Craftsmanship as team building When the workday transitions into the evening, the meeting transforms into a creative and sensory exploration:
Japanese art: Immerse yourself in timeless Japanese aesthetics. Choose between Calligraphy (Shodo) where brush strokes require full focus, the meditative paper art Origami, or Mizuhiki – the art of tying beautiful strings that symbolize community and bonds. An activity where patience meets the joy of creation.
An evening in the spirit of tradition and conversation Dinner is a tribute to Japanese food culture in the form of an Izakaya tasting menu. Here a variety of small, technically perfected dishes are served, inviting a shared taste experience in a relaxed yet sophisticated environment.
As a conclusion to a meaningful day, we offer time for what is often forgotten: the good conversation. Take a tranquil garden walk in the twilight or allow reflections to flow freely in an environment where silence and presence are highly valued.
Welcome to a day where we combine professional development with tranquility, craftsmanship, and timeless Japanese aesthetics.

How can a meeting day at Yasuragi look?
To get the best effect of your workday, we always recommend starting with time in the Japanese bath with our bathing manual. This will help you relax and work more efficiently and become more creative. After the bath, your meeting day continues where you have an energy-boosting morning and afternoon as well as lunch available. During or after the meeting day, we recommend an activity to gather the group. You enjoy a nice dinner and then wake up refreshed after a good night's sleep.
-
Do you have any age restrictions?
We have a minimum age limit of 16 years, which means that children/infants cannot participate in conferences/meetings or group bookings.
-
What is the dress code at Yasuragi?
The Japanese cotton robe, yukata, is provided in your room upon arrival. It is worn when visiting the Japanese bath, and if you wish, it can also be worn throughout the day, similar to at a Japanese inn. In that case, it is worn on top of regular clothes.
