We offer a variety of activities such as Breathwork, Yoga, and Zen meditation. Most activities are included in your stay and no booking in advance is necessary. Come dressed in your yukata and swimwear/dry underwear. Relax and refill your energy tank.

Japanese Radio Gymnastic


Do as the Japanese, start the day with invigorating morning movements and Rajio Taiso! With the help of a Japanese radio DJ and your activity leader, you will be introduced to a series of fun and fast movements that get your body energized and ready for the day. A class filled with laughter and vitality that will stick with you throughout the entire day!

Restorative Yin Yoga


A restorative yoga where we calm the body and mind while we are softening the fascia, also called connective tissue. Each position is performed with a gentle stretch and held for at least 3-5 minutes, giving you time to calm your mind and sense your body. We work in silence and with great presence, focusing on the breath and with each exhalation we get a little deeper into the position. Our fascia that surrounds the body softens and our muscles can move more freely again. This in turn reduces stiffness and prevents injury.

Sound Healing


Relax to a guided meditation and the beneficial sounds/vibrations of different Tibetan singing bowls. During the whole session, you lie on a yoga mat on the floor, preferably with a blanket over you.

The Five Tibetan Rites


Five repetitive exercises also known as "The Five Rites of Rejuvenation" if performed daily. The exercises are over 2000 years old and originate from Tibetan monks. The rites are aimed at keeping the whole body and mind in youthful shape. They are simple in form and increase physical strength and resilience as well as mental sharpness while dissolving blockages so that life energy, Ki, can flow freely and set its healing forces in motion.

Zazen Meditation


This meditation based on Zen Buddhist tradition is an exercise for the mind, and for the body, that focuses on helping you be more present and attain more peacefulness and acceptance. You observe what is, within and outside yourself. Learn how to meditate in the zazen (the sitting meditation) and the kinhin (the walking meditation). The methods are simple in their form and you can advantageously continue your practice at home.

Cold Bath


You've probably heard about the positive effects of taking a cold bath. During this session, you will learn more about your body's reaction during a cold bath and how to use your breath to deal with the cold more easily. The session begins with a short theoretical review and introduction to breathing techniques. After that you will practice your ability to withstand the cold in one of our cold springs which are 12-14 degrees. - A great introduction to cold bathing suitable for all the curious minds.

Time: 3.30 - 4.30 p.m Learn how to prepare sushi the true traditional way. One of our experienced chefs will lead you on the path to the perfect sushi roll. CUPPING OF THE FASCIA


A restorative class where you place Curam's static massage cups made of silicone on various parts of the body while resting in relaxing positions. A way to effectively release tension, increase flexibility, improve circulation by the “reverse massage” that the cups provide. Our network of connective tissue, also called fascia, is the body's largest organ, enclosing everything from muscles and bones, to organs and cells. When we keep the fascia elastic our muscles can move more freely, we become more flexible and experience less pain.

EXERCISES FOR THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM


A session for you who want to learn simple exercises that strengthens the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is sometimes called the forgotten system. The purpose here is for you to gain a basic understanding of this important system that is so important to our immune system and give you exercises to easily use in your everyday life.

Breathwork


The quality of breathing regulates many of the body's autonomic functions. With the help of specific breathing techniques, up to 75% of the body's toxins can be released, blood pressure and PH value stabilized and the central nervous system regulated. Good breathing also reduces stress hormones, stabilizes emotions, calms down and provides better sleep. Most of us are aware that how we feel mentally and physically can affect our breathing. But the fact that it is possible to influence us physically and psychologically the other way, i.e. via breathing, is not as well rooted in our consciousness. During this session you will learn the forgotten skill, how to breathe for a healthier life. You will try different breathing techniques that affect our autonomic nervous system and more.

Yoga Sun Salutations


Sun salutations consist of two rounds of 12 classic yoga positions that we perform in a nice and easy flow. A nice form of exercise that stretches our muscles and joints. In addition to a positive impact on body and mind, we express our gratitude to the sun for sustaining life on this planet.

Do-In


Do In is a way of massaging yourself, waking up muscles and blood vessels. We pat, apply pressure and massage the body. The movements and the pressure expands the vessels, activating energy channels and stimulates the muscels. An easy and fun way to get to know your body better and also a way for you to realize how your body is doing.

Qigong


The practice qigong is a method with origins in traditional Chinese medicine. Qi is universal energy flowing in our bodies. Research shows that qigong has a dampening effect on stress. The movements increase body awareness, providing deeper breathing and better posture.

Frequently asked questions about our activities

  • Do I need to prebook activites?

    No, we have drop-in to our activities. There is a limited number of places, so arrive well before the beginning of each session. With respect to other guests, please do not step in on an already started activity.

  • What do I wear on the activities?

    You can wear your yukata (Japanese cotton robe) during the activities. Be sure to wear underwear or dry swimwear underneath. For Yoga we recommend that you bring comfortable clothes suitable for the activity.

  • Do you have a gym?

    Yes, we have an outdoor gym which you are free to use at any time. You will find it next to our Japanese garden. We also have great walking and jogging trails in the area. Please, feel free to ask for further guidance or a map at the reception.

  • Can I come earlier or stay longer to be able to go on a certain activity?

    No, you are welcome to participate in the activities that start and end within the time frame of the package you have booked.
