Activities

We offer a variety of activities such as Zenmediation, Do In and Qi Gong.
Most activities are drop in and don’t need to be pre-booked. Only Sauna ritual and Sauna Yoga needs to be pre-booked.
If you like to attend the Yasuragi Yoga please bring some comfortable clothes.

SAUNA RITUAL – SHIRO ZUMI

Book our sauna ritual, Shiro Zumi, which means ”the white charcoal”. The handmade Japanese charcoal used has a cleansing and purifying effect and strengthens the immune system. Besides the charcoal products you have a spa attendant that guides you through the process, which even includes breathing exercises, hot springs, dry and steam sauna. Listen to the exciting history of how the charcoal products have been produced and used in Japan for generations.

SAUNA YOGA

Sauna yoga is simple yoga stretches that are done while sitting in a sauna with a temperature of approximately 50-55 degrees celsius. The positions strengthen the torso and lower body and give more flexibility in the spine, hips and glutes. The exercises and the gentle heat from the sauna help the body´s metabolism and reduce stress.

Every day 7.30 am – 8 am in the outdoor sauna.

YASURAGI YOGA

Exercises for the body´s energy areas; legs, hips, core and back. Basic stretches derived from Hatha yoga. Yasuragi yoga consists of meditation and training in mindfulness. The main focus is to increase your mindfulness, awareness of body, feelings and mind. (Bring yoga/work-out clothes).

Time: 11.30-12.15 am and 4.45-5.45 pm

DO IN / QI GONG

A combined do in and qi gong class. The class begins with Do in that is a self-massage where you awaken muscles and blood vessels to life. The movements and presses expands blood vessels, activates the energy pathways and stimulate the muscles. Then we practice qigong – a method with origins in traditional Chinese medicine. Studies show that qigong has a dampening effect on stress. The movements increase body awareness, providing deeper breathing and better posture.

JOURNEY WITH TIBETAN SINGING BOWLS

Take a guided meditation accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls. Let yourself be swept away by the tones while lying on a mattress on the floor with a blanket over you. This treatment is linked to ancient knowledge of the singing bowls´ healing effect.

Time: 9:30 – 10:15 am and 5:15 – 6:00 pm

ZEN MEDITATION

Practice finding concept of “what is”. You learn how you should sit and what you do to come to peace and be more present with “what is”. Focus lies on breathing and posture. You even receive tips on how you can meditate at home.

Time: 8:45 – 9:15 am and 7:30 – 8:00 pm

HEART CHAKRA MEDITATION

A moving meditation. The movements made in the four cardinal points, but you are all the time in the same place. The rhythmic music helps the body and mind to find rest in the movement – something that many stressed people may find value in practice.
